Re-refined base oil
Re-refined Base Oil SN500
Re-refined base oil SN500 for heavy lubricant blends.
What is Re-refined Base Oil SN500?
Re-refined base oil SN500 is supplied by Synergysol Trading. It is the heavy grade, used beside virgin SN-500 when the formula calls for a re-refined heavy neutral. Appearance is clear and bright. The viscosity index is 90–110, and color is 1.5–2.5.
Kinematic viscosity is 60–110 cSt at 40°C and 9–11 cSt at 100°C. The Cleveland open-cup flash point is 200–240°C and the pour point is −5 to 0°C. Density is 0.875–0.885 g/cm³. The certificate of analysis names the density temperature for the cargo.
Virgin Group I solvent neutrals are supplied separately. An order names the re-refined grade so the quotation stays on this oil.
Applications
Synergysol Trading supplies re-refined base oil SN500 as a feedstock for lubricant blending.
Engine and industrial oils. Blenders use the re-refined neutral where the formula accepts a re-refined base oil in this viscosity band.
Hydraulic and circulating oils. Industrial lubricants that specify a re-refined SN grade are filled from this oil.
Process oils. Process-oil duty that allows a re-refined base oil names this grade.
Named SN500 formulas. Where the purchase order says re-refined base oil SN500, this is the grade on the offer.

A single figure is the result held for the grade. A range is the span held for that property. Density is reported without a test temperature on the grade sheet. The certificate names that temperature.
These are the results held for this grade. The certificate of analysis supplied with the shipment applies to that cargo.
Other grades in this range
These are other grades Synergysol Trading supplies. The figures in this section belong to those grades.
Virgin Group I SN-500 is published at 85.8 mm²/s at 40°C, 9.5–11.2 cSt at 100°C, viscosity index 89, and flash point 240°C. Re-refined SN300 is the lighter re-refined grade.
