What is Base Oil SN-150?
Base oil SN-150 is a light Group I solvent-neutral base oil supplied by Synergysol Trading. SN 150 is the low-viscosity feedstock in hydraulic oils, process oils, metalworking fluids, and light lubricant blends. Solvent neutral means the distillate is solvent-extracted and dewaxed so a blender can use it as the mineral oil in a finished lubricant.
The grade is clear and bright, color 1.5. Kinematic viscosity at 100°C is 5.4–7 cSt, the viscosity index is 95, the Cleveland open-cup flash point is 208°C, and the pour point is −12°C. API Group I is the solvent-refined category: viscosity index from 80 to 120, saturates below 90%, and sulfur above 0.03%.
Re-refined base oil SN150 is a separate grade. An order for virgin Group I base oil names SN-150.
Applications
Synergysol Trading supplies base oil SN-150 wherever the blend has to stay mobile on a Group I solvent neutral.
Hydraulic fluids and light circulating oils. Light hydraulic oils use SN-150 as the mineral base, with the additive system selected by the blender.
Process oils. Process-oil formulas that specify a light solvent neutral name SN-150.
Metalworking fluids. Neat and soluble metalworking oils use this light Group I base oil as the carrier.
Light engine-oil blends. A light engine oil takes SN-150 beside a heavier neutral or bright stock.
General industrial lubricants. Low-viscosity industrial oils in this band are blended on SN-150.
