Group II
Base Oil Group II N150
Group II base oil for hydraulic oils, light engine oils, and industrial blends.
What is Base Oil Group II N150?
Base oil N150 is a Group II base oil supplied by Synergysol Trading. It is the hydroprocessed neutral in the same commercial band as Group I SN-150, chosen when the formula needs the saturates and oxidation response of Group II. API Group II is defined by saturates of at least 90%, sulfur of 0.03% or below, and a viscosity index from 80 to 120.
Lubricant blenders use Group II base oil N150 in hydraulic oils, light engine-oil formulas, circulating oils, and process oils. SN-150 is published at 5.4–7 cSt at 100°C, viscosity index 95, flash point 208°C, and pour point −12°C. Group III 4 cSt is the higher-viscosity-index alternative.
Applications
Synergysol Trading supplies Group II base oil N150 for hydraulic oils, light engine oils, and industrial blends written on Group II.
Hydraulic fluids. Hydraulic oils that specify a Group II neutral in the N150 band use this base oil as the main fluid.
Light engine oils. Passenger-car and light diesel formulas take N150 when the base-oil approval is Group II.
Circulating and process oils. Industrial circulating oils and process oils in this band are blended on N150.
Named N150 formulas. Where the specification says Group II N150, this is the base oil on the order.

Frequently asked questions
What is Group II N150?
N150 is a hydroprocessed Group II base oil for hydraulic oils, light engine-oil blends, circulating oils, and process oils.
How does N150 compare with SN-150?
SN-150 is Group I, published at 5.4–7 cSt at 100°C, viscosity index 95, flash point 208°C, and pour point −12°C. N150 is the Group II grade in that commercial band.
What does Group II mean for a blender?
Group II is hydroprocessed, with saturates of at least 90%, sulfur of 0.03% or below, and a viscosity index from 80 to 120.
What are the published results for N150?
Kinematic viscosity at 40°C is 28.1–31.0 cSt. Viscosity index is ≥95. Flash point is ≥204°C, pour point is ≤−13°C, and ASTM color is ≤L0.5.
