Bitumen
Bitumen 60/70
Penetration grade bitumen 60/70 for roads, waterproofing, and coatings.
What is Bitumen 60/70?
Bitumen 60/70 supplied by Synergysol Trading is the penetration grade used in hot-mix asphalt, waterproofing membranes, and industrial coatings. Penetration at 25°C is 60–70 mm/10. The softening point is a minimum of 46°C. Flash point is a minimum of 230°C and ductility at 25°C is a minimum of 100 cm.
Specific gravity at 25°C is 1.01–1.06. Loss on heating is a maximum of 0.2%. Dynamic viscosity at 60°C is 200 ± 40 Pa·s. Solubility in carbon disulfide or trichloroethylene is a minimum of 99.0%.
Applications
Synergysol Trading supplies bitumen 60/70 for paving and industrial work that names this penetration grade.
Hot-mix asphalt. Road contracts that specify penetration grade 60/70 take this binder.
Waterproofing and roofing. Membrane plants use 60/70 where the softening point and ductility match the sheet.
Pipe coating and protective coatings. Coating lines specify 60/70 for the binder body.
Cutback and emulsion feedstock. Manufacturers order 60/70 as the base binder.
