What is Bitumen VG-30?
Bitumen VG-30 supplied by Synergysol Trading is a viscosity-grade paving binder. Dynamic viscosity at 60°C is 2,400–3,600 poise. Penetration at 25°C is 50–70 mm/10. Kinematic viscosity at 135°C is a minimum of 350 cSt.
The softening point is a minimum of 47°C. Flash point is a minimum of 220°C. Ductility at 25°C is a minimum of 40 cm. Specific gravity at 25°C is a minimum of 0.99. Solubility is a minimum of 99%.
Applications
Synergysol Trading supplies VG-30 for road work specified on viscosity grade rather than on a penetration grade alone.
Hot-mix asphalt. Highways that specify VG-30 take this viscosity at 60°C.
Heavy traffic mixes. The 2,400–3,600 poise band is the VG-30 paving grade.
Industrial paving. Yards and industrial roads written on VG-30 use the same binder.
