What is White Spirit?

White spirit supplied by Synergysol Trading is the petroleum solvent used to thin alkyd and oil-based paints, to clean brushes and equipment, and to carry solvent-borne coatings. Coatings plants know it as mineral spirits. The flash point is 38–42°C. Density is 775–779 kg/m³. Total sulfur is a maximum of 1,000 ppm.

Naphtha is the lighter cut, with a boiling range from 44°C to 190°C and specific gravity 0.713, supplied for solvent blending and petrochemical feedstock.

Applications
