Group III
Base Oil Group III 8 cSt
Heavy Group III base oil, the 8 cSt class, for engine oils and gear oils.
What is Base Oil Group III 8 cSt?
Group III 8 cSt base oil is the heavy viscosity class supplied by Synergysol Trading. The name is the kinematic viscosity class at 100°C. Blenders use it in heavier engine oils, gear oils, and industrial lubricants that need a viscosity index of 120 or higher at this body.
Group I base oil SN-500 is published at 9.5–11.2 cSt at 100°C with viscosity index 89. Group II N500 is the Group II heavy neutral. Group III 8 cSt is the high-viscosity-index choice. Bright stock BS-150 is 476.2 mm²/s at 40°C.
Applications
Synergysol Trading supplies Group III 8 cSt base oil for heavier engine oils, gear oils, and industrial lubricants.
Heavier engine oils. Passenger-car and diesel formulas use 8 cSt Group III when the heavy component has to carry a viscosity index of 120 or higher.
Gear and transmission oils. Gear oils that specify Group III in the heavy class name 8 cSt.
Industrial lubricants. Industrial oils written on an 8 cSt Group III base oil are blended from this grade.
Blends with 4 cSt or 6 cSt. The heavy class is combined with a lighter Group III class to hit the finished viscosity.
