Residue Wax
Residue wax, 45–60% oil, melting point 40–45°C.
What is Residue Wax?
Residue wax from Synergysol Trading is the high-oil wax grade. Oil content is 45–60%. The melting point is 40–45°C. Flash point is 200–210°C. Viscosity at 100°C is 4–6 cSt. Color is a maximum of 2 and penetration is 150–170.
Wax plants use it in industrial blends and as a feedstock where that oil content is the point of the grade. Heavy slack wax stops at 16–23% oil. Paraffin wax is 3–5 wt% oil.
Applications
Synergysol Trading supplies residue wax for industrial blends and further processing at 45–60% oil.
Industrial wax blends. Blends that specify residue wax use the 45–60% oil and the 40–45°C melting point.
Further processing. Wax manufacturers take residue wax as a feedstock and match penetration at 150–170.
High-oil duty. The grade is the oily wax, distinct from light and heavy slack wax.
